Servant Leadership
The University of Mary provides an environment where each student participates in those experiences essential to becoming a leader. Developing essential leadership qualities in each student empowers that person to work courageously and effectively for the common good.
Several courses allowed me to experience servant leadership with my classmates as a team member in a learning community and the healthcare organization I worked with.

A big part of my leadership philosophy reflects servant leadership. When a leader serves the member's needs, the member also serves the member’s needs through increased performance. Similarly, my idea of an efficient leader is a servant leader who is not perfect yet strives to continuously improve and let the members fill in the weak spots.

Benedictine Experience
The University of Mary integrates the Benedictine values of service, hospitality, moderation, prayer, respect for persons, and community throughout our curriculum and student life programs. Hence, students graduate with the capacity to live joyful, meaningful lives.
Community and Respect for Persons
All the courses utilize group discussions which helped me develop Community and Respect for Persons among my classmates.

Hospitality
It helped me practice Hospitality as discussions and presentations welcome all to engage and share their professional experiences. Students encourage each other to participate in the learning environment.
